cluster headache, almost every day at 9:15 am, but sinus drainage is in throat not out of nose.?
Every day at 9:10-9:15 like clockwork I can feel the pressure and pain building up in my eye, like someone is going to pull it out. But ive never had nasal drainage with my clusters. I know typically its normal for nasal drainage and even eye drainage, but I dont have that and have recently been getting a sore throat from drainage in my throat. Do you think this is drainage from the cluster or from a sinus infection?Also, what is a way to make clusters more manageable? How in the he?? do you hold a job?

3. well, i could ascertain from the given details that you probably have or have had chronic rhinitis [ chroinc cold] and now you have this condition called post nasal drip... its actually dur to the increased mucosal secretion in the sinuses that tend to fall onto your throat when you lie flat with your head facing the roof... the symptoms are like this
* Swallowing constantly
* Spitting (mucus) constantly
* Tickling in the throat
* Constant clearing of throat
* Mucus feeling in the back of the throat
* Difficulty in breathing
* Congestion in the nasal and sinus passages
* Chronic sore throat
* Crystals found in the tonsils that are generally yellow or white (commonly called tonsil stones, or tonsilloliths)
* Bad breath
* Coughing
* Feeling nauseated due to accumulation of mucus in stomach
* Vomiting due to excessive mucus in stomach
and the treatment would be
see an otolaryngologist[ent] or family physician.
Treatment may include antibiotics, nasal irrigation, or minor surgery.
Some people use bulb syringes, squirt bottles, and neti pots for nasal irrigation.
Other treatments, for the allergy aspect of the disorder, include the usage of antihistamines and/or decongestants to treat the most common effects. Steroids may also be prescribed for short-term usage, as extended use may cause harmful side effects.
A recent study has also shown that physiotherapy of the nasopharynx has been successfully employed to achieve a quick and effective treatment of symptoms
but treatment for cluster headaches wud be 'sumatriptan' the drug of choice for migraine and cluster head aches and some antihistamins!
