Can someone help answer question abt 6yr old with headache at back of head?
My 6yr old daughter's head is hurting on the back when someone touches it and sometimes without touching it & has a fever and sneezing and coughing, but my other kids have been sick too but they didnt complain abt headache so i was just concerned about the back of her head hurting since thats an odd place to hurt. Has anybody elses childs head been hurting in the back or has it happend to anybody? Thanks for all the comments in advance.
Thanks for all the advice. She said her head wasnt hurting anymore but i took her to the er today cuz her fever was still hih and the dr gave her some antibiotics cuz of an ear infection. I guess her head was hurting because of the bad cold that she has. Thank you everybody =) I would give you all best answers if i could!!
And thank you everyone who prayed for her!! I REALLY appreciate it!!!!!

1. Well that could be serious you should really take the kid to the doctor.
2. Maybe she has feel at school and it and bruise the skull it has happen to me in a skateboarding accident. I would suggest children's Tylenol and xtra fluffy pillows that made my head better
3. I think she should go to the doctor. It could be a headache but with sensitivity to touch its more likely some sort of trauma. as suggested maybe she fell at school. Does that area of her head look clear (redness, swelling, bump, rash)? The only way for a "for sure" diagnosis would be to have a scan of her head. for a headache try Tylenol (or aleve, possible inflammation) and rest. If trauma try an ice pack when her head is sensitive to touch. If you decide its headache and the problem persists then taker to the doctor. If you decide its trauma, take to the Doctor as soon as possible to avoid further injury.
4. ..First & foremost do discuss this with her doctor just to be safe and to stop worrying yourself sick..Her head would not hurt when you touch it because the skull covers the brain, so this would be on the outside, not on the inside..Possibly she has bumped or bruised this part of her head..I will also add that having the back part of the head hurt may be coming from the nerves that come from the upper portion of the back, a place where stress seems to reside in many people..Try giving her a gentle massage and see if her upper back is tight or not..God Bless and if this continues, please take her to the doctor...
5. Maybe she banged it??
Put an ice pack on it for a few minutes.
Give it a week/3 days
Afterwards if not then I would recommend seeing a doctor as it could be a brain tumor.
