how do you know the difference between nerve damage symptoms and fibromyalgia?

1. Fibromyalgia is thaught to be caused by a malfunction in the firing of nerves. They are both very similar, so I'd say the only way to tell is to go to a doctor.
2. Consult a doctor it might be the best.
3. Fibro is intermittent, ebbs and flows and doesn't respect nerve tracts. Nerve damage is permanent and follows a nerve.
4. Nerve damage would require an outside force doing damage to the affected area. Fibromyalgia will be wide spread throughout the body.
5. you could have a disease that causes widespread nerve damage--i think the test is call emg for nerve damage
nerve damage should NOT be labeled fms--with fms the problem starts in the brain--the nerves themselves are not damaged..
there are many types of nerve damage
6. With nerve damage there are objective signs of neurological damage such as abnormal or changes in reflexes. In fibromyalgia there are no objective signs of nerve damage. This is another proof that fibromyalgia is not a central pain disease. It is a muscle disease!
