headache relief besides tylenol?
prepregnancy, i used to get migraines atleast once a week. they have almost disappeared since i found out i was pregnant until the last few weeks (16 weeks preg). i vomit all morning because my head hurts so bad, and i can not focus at work. tylenol does nothing. it helps to lay in bed, in a dark room, with a wash cloth on my whole face, and when my husband massages my head for hours, but sometimes i still have the headache for over a day.
any remidies before i gouge my eyes out???

1. I'd have to say that sounds like a caffene headache...I know your not technically supposed to drink caffene while pregnant but my mom and I always did and all our babies are perfect
2. Midrin...I have a history of migraines too and that is what they gave me...works too, I like it way better then the old stuff they gave me. Just call the doc and see if you can get it.
3. go get hot/cold ice pack... and put on your head... like heating pad... or try to massages where it hurts for sometime... or sleep on it... or you should go to your doctors to ask him or her...
or try to stay in quiet places with no noise and go to bed..
I have headache once in while and it really bad i would just sleep.. and see how it feel the next day...
or put heat pack on your head and try to go bed and have your husband take away in the mid of the night.. so that you would not have heat problem or sweat problem at night...
4. 1. Get a bed buddy thing (with rice, or, even better, herbs inside) and freeze it in the freezer. Then put it on your eyes. I've heard it's supposed to help with headaches.
2. Have a caffeinated pop. Migranes are horrible, it's worth the caffeine.
3. I vaguely remember reading somewhere...that there's a pregnancy-approved migrane medication. Talk to your DR about it. Maybe you can get a prescription for it.
I get migranes too...good luck!
5. Same thing happened to me, they came back at 16 weeks. I found that tylenol with a cup of coffee and a heating pack on my head worked best. Then lay down if you can. The caffine in the coffee speeds up the tylenol and also helps the vessels in your head get smaller, when they get bigger that's what causes your migraine. I wish you the best of luck cuz I know how bad it is! If none of that works talk to your doctor.
6. drink lots of water
7. Headache is a pain in the head, scalp or neck.
Headaches can be caused by minor problems
like eyestrain, lack of coffee or more serious reasons
like head injury, brain tumors, encephalitis and
meningitis. Taking painkillers continuously can
have harmful side effects, so it is better to
modify your lifestyle. More information available at
