what causes symptoms of; dizziness, fatigue, headache, nausea, vomiting, etc.?please help!?
I have had a severe headache and body pain for the past 4 days nonstop, It is accompanied by nausea and vomiting. I have been very dizzy as if the room is constantly spinning, I have also been very weak and fatigued I feel like no matter how much i sleep i am still tired and the slightest activity just wears me out. I have had several incidents of collapsing on the floor because i feel my body is too weak to carry me. i have also had chronic heartburn and I have had numbness from my lower back down through my butt and my legs and through my feet. it is almost the same feeling as when my foot goes to sleep or something but it lasts much longer. the numbness alternates with pain. I am 23 years old, female, I had my gallbladder taken out 3 months ago, other than that i am in ok health. I do have PCOS(and have not had a period for over 2 years), ADHD, and Manic depression. which all are unmedicated because I have lost my insurance. I am getting very scared as to what this may be, I have called my regular doctor but she cant see me until next week, is this something that should merit an emergency room visit or would it be best to wait it out and see my doctor. I have done a little research online with webmd.com and when i entered my symptoms the #1 result was fibromyalgia, but it says it is commonly misdiagnosed as a thyroid problem which a thyroid problem could be possible for me because my mom had a thyroid problem and had actually gone into a thyroid storm and was also diagnosed with graves disease. I was really young when all that happened so I really do not remember what kind of symptoms she had.

1. Go to the ER. With your history its best not to take chances.
2. I would have someone drive you to the ER. You can get certain diseases after having your gallbladder taken out so mention that. I would also be sure to bring up fibromyalgia to whatever doctor you see. If you choose to wait, look for patterns in your symptoms (Ex. Do you only feel numbness if you sit down to long? Do certain foods make you feel better or worse? Certain activities.)
3. This sounds like it could be an emergency situation. These things can all be from thyroid problems even the PCOS, ADD and Manic/depressive.
Here is info you need:
You need testing for thyroid ANTIBODIES as well as TSH. TSH ‘norm’ should be .3 – 3 (w/ most feeling best at < 2) but would not matter if ANTIBODIES are present. Indicative of Hashimoto’s Autoimmune Thyroiditis…main cause of HypOthyroid & is worse (...OR Graves Disease - HypERthyroid).
WARNING: Doctors seem not to want to find/treat thyroid disease. You may have to go to more than one doctor before you get the right tests, interpretation, and treatment. Best wishes.

4. go to the ER
and look on

to get meds
IT DOES NOT SOUND LIKE FMS---FMS IS LONG TERM, not 4 days......the vomiting is not consistent, neither is the severe dizzyness or collapsing
thyroid problems are commonly misdiagnosed as FMS--not the other way around
it is more likely to be migraine, brain tumor/aneurysm/stroke...
fms does not come on this severe.this suddenly----especially without a triggering event such as a severe injury/illness/trauma
5. All that for the last 4 days? OUCH!
Have you taken your temperature? Do you have a fever?
Rather than guessing, why not go to an emergency room or call your doctor and ask for an
Urgent Care appointment.
I'm stunned that you've lost your gallbladder at age 23. Now you have to be careful of your diet.
PCOS is a hormone imbalance, and ADHD is an iodine deficiency thing.
Also fibromyalgia is a SYMPTOM of hypOthyroidism.
Sorry that I can't be more helpful.
