Are pregnancy symptoms a good sign in this case?

A few months ago I had an early miscarriage at 5.5 weeks. During the time I was pregnant I had no symptoms of pregnancy.

This pregnancy I am at 5.5 weeks and feeling some slight nausea and evening headache (which are the same symptoms I had with 2 previous children).

Since I am having pregnancy symptoms can I assume this pregnancy is safe and will not result in miscarriage? I feel really great, if I am to miscarry are there usually symptoms before the bleeding begins?

1. From my experience there weren't any symptoms prior to miscarriage but every woman is different.

I'm a firm believer in natural instincts so if your feeling more pregnant then great but if you feel something isn't right then don't hesitate to seek help and don't be fobbed off by anyone til you've got answers

Congratulations and wishing you and little baba all the best x

2. These symptoms are VERY normal! And it is also normal to not have those symptoms as well. With both of my pregnancies I was very nauseated and exhausted at the begining (and throughout the entire pregnancy for that matter). Where as my friend never had nausea at all with her 2 pregnancies. Don't worry, just because you have had a misscarriage, you still can have a normal healthy pregnancy.
Good Luck!

3. sorry, but you can't assume the pregnancy is safe. There is always some risk, and chance of miscarriage, no matter the symptoms.

I have had numerous miscarriages, some with pregnancy symptoms and some without. It just all depends. The latest I miscarried was 14 weeks, so had plenty of symptoms up until then.

Best wishes for a healthy pregnancy

4. If you read What to Expect When You're Expecting, it says that women who have morning sickness have slightly lower rates of miscarriage then women who don't feel nauseated. But there isn't a clear reason of why that is. But every pregnancy will be different, regardless of how any other pregnancies ended. Some pregnant women have all kinds of symptoms and then the next pregnancy they will have very few or none at all.
