Is calling in sick with a headache a valid reason to miss work?

An employee has been having daily headaches and speaks to one of the nurses. Based upon her descriptions, the nurse explains that she probably has a tension headache or a migraine. The nurse advises your employee to keep a daily log of anything that seems to make her headache worse until she is able to see a doctor next week. You decide to do some research into tension-related and migraine headaches.

1. If the headache is bad enough to stop her doing her job then yes! :D

2. Yes! Some headaches can get pretty nasty, and if it's a migraine headache, it can be a bit crippling. Sometime the pain is so bad (from even just a normal headache) that you feel nauseous or throw up. It can feel like somebody pounding on your head with something hard. I wouldn't want to work through that

3. yes it can be a very good reason to call in the headaches i get dont even compare to the pain of hitting the pavment at over 60mph between the 2 i would take hitting the pavment over a headache any day these headaches are the most painful thing i have ever felt
