Can someone suggest a simple cure for relief from headache?

As in immediate, even if temporary, relief. Sometimes I get a headache while at work or meeting or some other important time, and it really bothers me... Please dont suggest sleep, tylenol and stuff ;-)

1. Close your eyes. Think of a shape. Any shape, but a shape. Like the outline of a triangle on a piece of paper. Now get rid of that and think of a color. Any color. Just a whole wall painted blue, let's say. Now get rid of that and imagine your shape, that color, a blue triangle. Now open your eyes...still have a headache?

2. Caffeine it vaso dilates the blood vessels that are constricting and causing the headache. If you get them often though you should see an MD

3. sleep a lot

4. Sit on a chair, lower ur head and put it in between ur legs, lower than ur knee level. once u feel the heaviness, while pinching the flesh on ur forehead move downward from the top of ur forehead towards the tip of ur nose. once u reach the tip make a sliding motion with ur fingers..as if ur throwing out something from ur body... do that a couple of times. it will give u relief wen there is no medication around.

if its stil persisting take an aspirin!

5. Personally I think headaches are chemical imbalance in the body and the brain reacts. So the first thing is to drink clean water (a glass or two) to flush down the bad stuff away from your body.
Closing you eyes and practice relaxation techniques (breathing slowing in and out) will also help. But it is chemical - so you need to do something about the bad stuff.
If the headaches are frequent, persistent - and have little change with/causes dependence on Aspirins, Tylenol, etc. then get a brain scan - you could have a more serious brain related problem such as a tumour.
If you do not think there is a physical problem (body or brain) then ...
Headaches could be attributed to changes in temperatures, pressure, oxygen levels, dust, and many, many stimulants including food smells.
Try to isolate each possibility at your place and perhaps you can find the source of the problem.

6. This might be due to dehydration. Drink a glass of water and the head ache should go away.
