I have inside knee pain with a bump on the inside of my knee?

For about 5 years I've had knee pain. I have. Bump on the inside of my knee the size of a golf ball. From time to time the pain comes for about a day and subsides. The pain feels like a knife cutting on the inside of my knee. Any suggestions to what this is?

1. i have a lump similar in my left knee, whenever i hit it even gently it feels like ive broken a bone
and sometimes it just hurts randomly for an hour or two
it might be joint point, some kind of arthritus no matter how old you are, or it could be an old injury that never quite healed?
if your really worried, go get it checked out by a doctor thats the only real way to know
