Any suggestions for headache relief when pregnant?

I am 10 weeks pregnant and I have the never ending headache! I have takenTylenol and tried ice packs, wrapping my head with a towel, sleeping masks. My dr says that I have to wait it out at this point but it is just becoming so hard to think, drive and function. Any advise please!!

1. Your doctor is right. Your body is going through a lot of hormonal changes right now and that is probably the root of your headaches. You only have a couple more weeks until you start your second trimester and that trimester is typically the easiest for people. Most of your nausea and exhaustion will begin to disappear and very likely your headaches will stop too.

2. My doctor told me to drink a small cup of weak coffee. The caffiene helped the Tylenol work a little better. It might work for you too, but clear it with your doctor! I was a little further along in my pregnancy before I got the headaches. You might want to stay away from anything caffienated in your first trimester!
A good shoulder rub sometimes worked for me too!
Congrats and good luck!! :)

3. Headaches are common during pregnancy, especially during the first and third trimesters. Some women often have tension headaches, which cause squeezing pain or a dull ache on both sides of the head or the back of the neck. These headaches are usually due to stress, fatigue, caffeine withdrawal, or hunger/ low blood sugar. I would get very bad headaches when I was pregnant, usually if I went too long w/o eating. And as soon as I would eat, the headache would go away.. To soothe a headache in the sinus area, apply warm compresses to the front and sides of your face and around your nose, eyes and temples. To relieve a tension headache, apply a cold compress to the back of your neck, get pletny of rest, and be sure to eat well and get plenty of water. If you're headaches continue you can see your doctor and they can probably do something to help.

4. I tried eating some fruits. They relieve my headaches somewhat, then I take a tylenol soon afterwards to soothe it further. Then a nap is good. Yep...a good ole nap!
