How to reduce back pain while standing at work?
I just got a job as a cashier and i'm standing pretty much the whole time during a 7 hour shift, minus the 30 minute lunch break. My MIDDLE back starts to hurt after like the 5th hour. I'm 19 so I doubt I have any back issues, but I was wondering if anyone has any tips that would help reduce back pain? Like exercises or anything really.

1. Best way, when you sleep. Next time you go to bed, place two pillows under you legs, one right under your knees, the other to support legs and feet. Sleep like this, and any day time labor that hurts your back should heal over night.
2. Dr Scholls or a rubber mat (made for this purpose) will reduce your lower back pain and your employer will most likely buy it for you if you ask because they don't want to deal with something even worse like having to pay for doctor visits if you really hurt your back.
3. You can download some free somatics exercises which are designed to get us out of back pain.
You can get started on a path to learn what you can do for yourself.
4. well, you should start with your posture so that it will not cause back pain..hope this helps
