Has any one used lyrica for fibromyalgia...how did it work?

Just so you know this is the maintenance and repair section for autos.Re post in the medical section and i'm sure you'll get more imput.That being said my wife has bad fibromyalgia and she tried Lyrica and didn't like it.But we have another friend with fibro that tried it and loved it.So i guess your just going to have to try it for yourself to be sure.My wife didn't like it because she said it knocked her out every time she took it.2. Hey Danielle, I tried Lyrica several months ago and really couldn't tell a difference, so I weaned myself off and told my doctor. He now wants me to try it again, so here we go.... He said that we may try a different dosage after a little while. I did start off very slowly- instead of doing one dose/ day for a week, I continued for about two weeks before adding the second dose per day. It made me feel a little 'woozy' for about a week. We all respond differently to meds. I have some fibro friends who hate it and some who love it, so it depends upon your body.
I know this was not a definite answer for you. You'll just have to try it and see how you respond. Just don't do what I did and give up on it and then have to start all over. One positive thing for me: I didn't gain weight on this medicine, so that was a plus!
