the difference between an tension headache and an aneurysm?
Lately Ive been having constant headaches and pressure in my cheeks, nose and ears. Plus, there's one spot in the back of my head that hurts off and on. last night it was hurting (yes, that one place in the back of my head) it comes off and on, but Im scared that it's an aneurysm. is it just a tension headache? can it lead to an aneurysm? or am I just plain paranoid? plz let me know so I can tell my doctor on friday

1. i think you are paranoid, but check with a doctor! :D
2. make sure your affairs are in order. stay away from microwaves and open flames. find yourself a nice place to watch the sunset. it's been nice knowing you.
3. You can die from an aneurysm. Blood vessels popping in the brain. Never good. Most likely just headaches.
4. It just sounds like allergies / tension headache to me , i am no doctor but i have had headaches just like yours and figured it was something aweful being the hypochondriac i am. Aneurysms usually produce no symptoms until they pop , but can cause blurred vision and a vew other things..but if it popped the headache would be HORRIBLE to where you couldnt talk and would happen quickly. If you are still in doubt about it go see a doctor to make you feel better.
5. An aneurysm is a ruptured blood vessel, it's very dangerous.
I wouldn't assume it's an aneurysm. There are many possible causes of your headaches that aren't so serious. It could be based on a sinus problem for example.
6. A lot of bad info in previous posts. The prevalence of aneurysms in the general population is estimated to be between 2 and 4%. So, while fairly uncommon it is not 1 in a 1000. Chronic headaches can be a symptom of an aneurysm so you would be wise to go to a doctor. From your facial pressure symptoms, it sounds like you are more likely to have a sinus infection. But, you should also see a doctor for that.
