Has anyone developed fibromyalgia after being on Prednisone for an extended period of time?
I suffer from Crohn's disease. I have spent the majority of the past seven years on Prednisone. Ever since my second taper off, I have been very sensitive to touch and bruise easily. My primary care doc suspects fibromyalgia. Prednisone has caused so many additional problems for me -- insomnia, dental issues, weight gain. Just want someone's take on their own Prednisone experiences.

1. My father actually developed fibromyalgia from being on Prednisone. His doctors took him off of it and started him on something else, I'm not sure what though. But yes, it can happen.2. bruising is NOT a sign of FMS
