1. Run the cold water tap, then soak a flannel in the cold water, then wring it out and place the cold flannel on your forehead.
2. Rest in room which is pretty dark. close the curtains, and just chill out, because when you have a headache/migraine bright light 9 times out of 10 will just make them worse
3. my dad uses tiger balm to rub on temples but it depends on the person. i dont like the smell, its menthol but too strong for me. try wearing sleeping mask (to cover your eyes) and i take dissolvable paracetamol cos i cant swallow tablets. it may taste weird so i usually hold my nose and chug it down. sleep is always the best cure. have a nap in the dark for an hour.
4. Try a wet/damp ( wet with ice cold water) facecloth across your forehead, had the same prob when i ran out of tabs once, it may not get rid of it completely but it will ease it somewhat.
5. If you take your dads bengay or if you go and but mineral ice and rub it on your temples it will work truts me on that its like that head on stuff but more powerful and it works!LA
6. Seriously, you should go to see your doctor, at least to be reassured that there is nothing too serious. You could be having high blood pressure for instance.
In the meantime, if you do not want to take tablets, there isn't much you can do about the migraines apart from lying down in a dark quiet room. I find that putting a flannel soaked in cold water on the forehead quite a good temporary relief.
7. cotton wool soaked in milk and place on the eye's for about 20 mins and go and see your opticians you just might need glasses.....
8. Drink lots of water - they're often the first sign of dehydration. Plenty of water and exercise really helps - a good brisk walk out in the fresh air - try it next time, I bet it works - you dont need any fandangled things! Good luck
9. have a drink of water
that will help if it is caused by dehydration
go and stand outside in the coll air for a few minutes
if they persist for a few weeks go and see your doctor
10. I had migraines for 30 years and here are some of the none medical methods I used to help mine.
Wet a folded hand towel under the faucet and put it in the microwave for about 40 seconds. Lay down and put it alternately on the back of your neck and your face. Re heat and repeat.
Stand against a wall and lean the back of your head against the wall, bridge out and in to work your neck muscles.
Or Put the heel of your hand against your forehead and put with your head and heel against each other this also will work the neck muscles and help the pain.
An Ice Pack on the back of the neck will also help some people. It cools the pulsating blood to the brain.
Heat always worked best for me.
A towel rolled to fit behind your neck (make it the size that feels right to you) and lay flat on your back in the dark.
If you can get and use Aspircream a drop rubbed on the temples, back of the neck and forehead works well also.
I sympathize and know how you feel. I pray one of these might help. I cannot tell if you are male or female but I am guessing you are a girl. Most migraines in women are hormone related. The minute I had my hysterectomy Mine stopped.
11. personally I do visualisation
I imagine a river of fire running from temple to temple.
then a flow of foam flowing onto this river gradually putting it out. You need to feel to flow then you can control the pain.
Alternatively email me and i will send you reiki healing. When i have done this once, you only need to mentally ask me for pain relief and it will be given
