1. The BEST thing is Excedrin Migraine!!!! I have had the worst migraines with photophobia (sensitivity to light) and nausea. Excedrin Migraine is the only thing that makes it go away. Unfortunately, it doesn't happen instantly (nothing does), but it WORKS!!!!
2. I have a lot of migraines & Excedrin Migraine makes mine worse. However, it works for a lot of other people. The only thing that works for me 100% of the time are triptan medications like Zomig & Imitrex. Other things that work for my minor ones are a small amount of caffeinated coffee, or a combo of Benadril & Ibuprofen.
3. Here are two good sites that can help you

4. If you aren't wanting to take painkillers, then your best bet would just do things that make you feel as comfortable as possible while you are in pain. Lying down in a dark quiet room is helpful, having an icepack on the area of pain sometimes helps (doesn't truly get rid of the pain, but it is soothing). A warm shower helps some people.
If you are having headaches that are so severe they are bothering how you function, you should see a doctor. Not only to make sure that it isn't anything serious, they can offer medications that are specifically for migraines and will work better than tylenol (they have things that are non-narcotic if you are worried about that).
