How do you get rid of a migraine headache while you are on a Detox Diet?
I'm doing a detox with water, fruits, veggies, and a 7 day supplement called detox 7. Im on my 3rd day, i feel great but when i wake up i have a massive, painful headache, its unbearable.. I had to take two excedrins, i know that defeats the detox but i has in pain.
How can i get rid of the headache without taking excedrin.?
I usually drink 6 cups of coffe and have 2 red bulls a day.

1. drinkl plenty of water....at least 10 to 15 glasses
2. i get migraine headaches all the time. best thing to do is tell yourself you are not your body, let it come and go.
meditate.
3. get off the detox, it's the withdrawal from caffine thats giving u a migraine, r u really gonna stick to a healthly diet after the detox, prob not, so what a waste of a week.
4. No wonder, your caffeine levels are so high, if you've cut out coffee you're going through withdrawal bad! Luckily it only lasts a few days.
5. Hi There,
I totally know where your coming from I get migraines something awful and have also detoxed many times.
DAY 3 is the worst...its an absolute nightmare...it is the day when all the toxins start to "come undone" for a lack of a better term. They are flowing around in you like crazy, causing wicked headaches, diarrhea, terrible thirst, you name it. The amount of caffeine you drank is just going to multiple that headache (sorry but true, caffeine withdrawal).
If you've already taken the Exedrin chill out, yes, it will effect the detox BUT if you continue and stick with it the results will be worth it.Really!!
So if I was you (and this has been suggested to me during "detoxs or fasts" relax, chill out, maybe go for a little walk, rest alot (as much as you feel necessary) and drink lots of water and eat your fruit and veggies, and take it easy!!
Its tough work for a body to get rid of all the crap we put in them. So ya, don't worry you haven't totally ruined everything, just pick up where you left off and tomorrow you'll start to feel much better, and by the end of the 7 days I bet you feel like a billion bucks.
Good luck and go have a nap*wink*
6. Your having caffiene withdrawel, thats where your headaches are coming from. Can't aviod it, unless you take tylenol.
7. It'd definitely be caffeine withdrawal. It's no reason to stop the detox and your body WILL recover. Once that headache time has passed (probably 1-2 days), you will no longer be caffeine-dependant, and that's a great way to be!
I don't think it matters that you had to take the pain killers - continue the detox if you like, but if it's really unbearable, maybe you should think about slowly reducing your daily caffeine intake and then going back to do the detox later.
Oh, and if you want a QUICK fix - get some caffeine into you straight away, and your headache will ease pretty damn fast! Perhaps some natural caffeine in a green tea or something that won't invalidate your detox too much?
Anyway, good luck!
8. Unless you have been diagnosed as having migraine, I don't think this is migraine. Withdrawing from caffeine can throw you into a horrendous headache. Considering the amount of coffee and red bull you drink, this is not surprising.
Many people consider a very bad headache to be a migraine. Migraine is a neurological disorder, which encompasses a large group of symptoms. It is not solely defined as a bad headache.
In my opinion, you would be best to fore go this detoxification process and treat yourself in a more reasonable manner. Reduce your intake of caffeine gradually. I am pretty sure the drastic steps you have taken in regards to your caffeine intake have thrown you into this headache situation.
Please be kind to yourself. Re-examine this detoxification plan. Why are you doing it? Is the "detox 7" a safe product? Is it FDA approved?
You didn't start out drinking so many caffeinated drinks all at once. You shouldn't stop them all at once.
