1. Just because your grandma has it doesn't mean you have it. You have to see a doctor. Tell the doctor the truth. Everything that is going on in your body, let your doctor know. You doctor will give you the diagnosis ( means he will tell you if you have fibro or not). Do not take advice from online when it comes to diagnosis. A professional doctor has to tell you all that. See a rheumatologist to find out what causes your symptoms. Sorry for not giving you exact answer that you want to find out.

2. Hey JS- sorry you're having such trouble. 'Anonymous' is right about the diagnosing. You really need to go see your doctor. Tell him/her everything that is hurting. It helps to have a typed list of your meds along with the symptoms you're experiencing to give your doctor. That way, nothing is missed.
Some of your symptoms can be caused by the asthma- the upper back, shoulder pain can be due to using your accessory muscles when you're having trouble breathing. The sleep disturbances could possibly be the asthma...do you notice any difficulty with your breathing when you wake up in the night?
The weight gain could be from medicines and just changes in harmones. Sometimes guys your age will gain a little more weight right before they start getting taller. (I've seen this with lots of my son's and daughter's friends.)
The anxiety can be attributed to the ADHD. I noticed this in my son, who was also diagnosed when he was younger. This has improved greatly over time.
You didn't mention pain in any of your lower quadrants of your body. I'm not saying you have or don't have fibro. They have found that fibro can be familial, it's not genetic. My children do not have it, nor did my parents, and they lived to their 80's.
The biggest thing is to go to your doctor. Continue to ask and search until you have answers to why you're having pain. You're too young to have to deal with this.
I wish you the best, and hope you feel much better very soon!
