How much should I sell my 1989 chevy k1500 for?

I have a 1989 chevy k1500 I am wanting to sell. It has a 3" body lift and has 33" mud tires of american racing rims. The paint is immaculant! It is red and has a custom built headache rack that looks really good. It looks really nice. I get a lot of compliments on it when I take it out of town. I just had the motor completely rebuilt by a machine shop intown. It is bored .040 over with brand new pistons, rings, rods, lifters, and a new cam. They also rebuilt the heads. It runs really good, I would not be afraid to take it anywhere. It runs down the highway going 70 easy. It has 373 gears. It is automatic with a newer 700r4 transmission. I don't know how to get a picture on here, or I would put a picture. It has tinted windows. It is a stepside box and a regular cab. I don't want to get rid of it, but I am going to college next year and I need a smaller vehicle because I am going to be driving 30 miles one way. The only bad thing about this truck is that the tact don't work, so I don't know how many miles are on the truck. It has a new frame on it too. The new motor has probably about 500 miles if even that now. Tell me what you think! Thanks! If anyone knows how to put pics up, let me know!

1. Looks like you have invest a bit of money into the truck. As the economy is heading and oil price is not going down any soon. People are going for smaller vehicle, it is going to be tough getting your money out of this truck. I would thinking $2-3K the most. You may want to try listing it on your local newspaper ad or craigslist.

2. you have put a lot of $$$ into your truck, if you can do a good job of advertizing it, you should be able to get between $3,000. and $5,000 for it.

there is a good demand for clean older k trucks.

here are some comparables
