Fibromyalgia symptoms - Only left side of body?

i've been looking up symptoms for years and the closest match I find is fibromyalgia...However, the Fibromyalgia diagnosis says it HAS to be on all four quadrants of your body. I have pain in every trigger point on the left side of my body. Is it the beginning of Fibromyalgia and eventually will go to the other side? Or is there another condition that can have the same symptoms?

thx

1. It could be a mild for of fibromyalgia but to know for sure you need to see a rheumatologist for a diagnosis.

2. 1st, fms has TENDERPOINTS

2nd--if you had it for years it is not the beginning of anything

have you been to a doctor?

there are many things that cause pain on one side of teh body

3. It's not fibromyalgia on just one side of your body. You more than likely have a pinched muscle/nerve in either your neck or back to cause pains on only one side. To get rid of the pains you have to free up the muscles in your neck and back and here's how to do that:
Neck
Put your hands alongside your head so your thumbs are on the front of the muscle under your ear and your fingers are on the back of the muscle behind your neck. Squeeze your thumb and fingers together and hold. Relax your body. When your fingers and thumb touch, about two minutes, slowly lower your head as far as you can, release the pressure but hold your neck lowered for another 30 seconds.
Back:
(do from a sitting position)
Place your left hand on your left leg next to your body. Place your right hand over your left shoulder, fingers over the back and the palm in the front and firmly pull down on them and hold. After 30 seconds slowly lower your body forward and to the outside of your left leg, keeping your left arm fairly straight as you do. When you reach your lap remain there for another 10 seconds, release the pressure but rest there for another 30 seconds. Then reverse your hand positions and do your right side. For both- for best results relax your body first by taking a deep breath and exhaling then remain this relaxed.

4. If the pain is completely lateralized to one side of your body, especially if it stops right at the center line, there's a good chance it's a problem involving your nervous system. When you go to see the rheumatologist, make that point clear to him, and ask whether you should also be seeing a neurologist.

Naming no names, but there's a "Top Contributor" here who recommends stretching exercises for EVERYTHING, sometimes very inappropriately.

I'm just sayin'.

5. It probably is FM. I have pain mostly on my left side too. If it was nerve related, your doctor would know. Usually they do a neuro exam to rule that out. It will probably go to the other side when its really bad. Also, I dont have pain in all 4 quadrants at the same time. Most people have pain in all four sides only when someone applies pressure. For example, when my doctor applied pressure in my "tender" points it hurt but it doesn't normally hurt. Normally, its my back neck and left hand. and knees sometimes....

Did you get a CBC and urinary test and get tested for Rheumatoid Arthritis or other forms of arthritis? Lyme disease can have similar symptoms. If your thyroid is underactive or over active, that can also do it....If I were you, I would rule that out with your doctor....good luck. Its a huge pain in the neck especially if you're young and noone understands....(i'm young).
