What causes headache and dry mouth when you wake up?
Once in awhile (not daily) I will wake up with a dry mouth and a headache. What causes this? Am I just getting dehydrated overnight...or sleeping in a room that's too stuffy...or what??

1. It is just dehydration.
2. yes your dehydrated. You can drink gatorade which has electrolytes such as sodium, potassium, and chloride that are essential to hydration and muscle function. I would drink some right before going to bed and have a glass of fresh water by your bed side and sip on it during the night..
I like to put on chap-stick before i sleep it helps with the dry mouth lips etc.
3. You may be in a very dry air environment, get a warm/cool vaporizer, depending upon the
climate, you may need to adjust the temperature of the vaporizer, but basically you need moisture in the air, and always keep a glass of water on your night stand.
4. Tight neck muscles are causing both those problems. When the muscles are tight they also restrict everything in your throat so it can cause the dry mouth to happen. Tight muscles in your neck can hurt so much to send a message to the brain so intense that all the brain feels is pain, so we call it a headache, blaming the messenger rather than the sender. Once you free up the muscles in your neck both problems should be gone and here's how to do that:
Neck
Put your hands alongside your head so your thumbs are on the front of the muscle under your ear and your fingers are on the back of the muscle behind your neck. Squeeze your thumb and fingers together and hold. Relax your body. When your fingers and thumb touch, about two minutes, slowly lower your head as far as you can, release the pressure but hold your neck lowered for another 30 seconds.
For best results relax your body first by taking a deep breath and exhaling then remain this relaxed.
