1. One part is you have tight muscles in your neck, for this is where all the headaches do get their start. During the night there is pressure on those muscles that cause them to tighten up more and as they do they pull on other muscles causing a chain reaction until it gets to the muscles in front of your head where it pulls on the ones around your forehead. They have nothing to pull on so the pain is felt in them. During the day as you move your neck it loosens those muscles up and relaxes them so the pain goes away until night again. Here is how to release the muscles in your neck to get rid of your headache:
Neck
Put your hands alongside your head so your thumbs are on the front of the muscle under your ear and your fingers are on the back of the muscle behind your head. Squeeze your thumb and fingers together and hold. Relax your body. After 45 seconds, slowly lower your head as far as you can, release the pressure but hold your neck lowered for another 30 seconds.
With your neck in the lowered position, replace your thumbs in under the ears and your fingers behind your head but right next to your skull this time. Press your fingers and thumbs together again and hold. Relax your body while waiting. When the muscles have all released, slowly lift your head until it’s level again, release the pressure but hold your head like that for another 30 seconds.
For best results relax your body first by taking a deep breath and exhaling then remain this relaxed.

2. From my experience:

Mold in house (I moved and never had the same problem again)
Temperature in house a couple degrees too cool
Dust or other items in or around bed/bedding
Too much sugar before bed

3. Try propping yourself up with 2-3-4 pillows and see if that prevents your sinus headaches. Your sinuses may not be able to drain properly when you lay down. Nurse Sue
