What causes shooting pain on the right side of the lower back?

I'm a teenage girl, and today only I've been having this deep shooting pain on the lower right side of my back, about an inch below my belly button. What could be causing this?
It's not my period, and I'm 16. It's not a crampy feeling, just a shooting, sharp one. It doesnt feel muscular related.

2. well im a teenager girl too(13) and it kinda depends on your age but if you havnt had your first period yet then it is most likely cramps. Absolutely noraml and nothing to worry about (ive been getting all that kind of shit for the last 2 months!) so yeah it could be period pain kind of thing.
