I am only 4 weeks pregnant. Is there anything i can take (herbal or conventional) for headaches while pregnant? Thanks x

1. the only thing they want you to take during that point in pregnancy is tylenol. The main reason for not wanting you to in your 1st trimester is because all other over the counter pain medication contains blood thinners which can raise your chance of miscarriage significantly. It doesn't necessarily mean that if you took any that you would defiantly miscarry, but your chances would go up which just isn't worth it. Some doctors say that at 13 weeks you can start taking Ibuprofen, but others do not, so just check with your doctor about pain relief in the second trimester, but in the first and 3rd, all doctors will agree to just stick with tylenol and tylenol only. Good luck! hope headache goes away soon.
