It is about 95% certain that I have fibromyalgia. Is there a UK support group for this ailment.?
I was able to put a possible name to the range of symptoms that I have been experiencing over the last 30 years, that doctors have dismissed as nothing because they don't know what it could be, after I was given a course of tablets for another problem and one of the 'side effects' was that it helped the symptoms of fibromyalgia. For the 3 months I was on the tablets the symptoms all but disappeared, then came back with a vengeance when I finished the treatment.
I have tried looking this ailment up on the internet, there are some very goo societies set up to help sufferers but they are in the US. I was wondering if there was anything in the UK that was similar.
