Can fibromyalgia symptoms result from a trauma to the leg/foot?

I was injured approx. 1 1/2 yrs ago. Drs. haven't found a concrete answer to the continuing pain in my foot/leg/knee. One surgery addressed one issue but as time goes on the pain has not improved. Physical therapy didn't help and only seemed to cause additional foot pain and burning sensation in my leg and foot. There is no sign of arthritis anywhere.

1. I'm no pro here but maybe that injury has healed in away that nerve endings have been touching say,
bone causing this pain or it could be a tendon too.

2. Not fibromyalgia, per se, but when considered that fibromyalgia and other pain disorders related to a sensitivity of the central and/or peripheral nervous system, they can be considered to have a similar mechanism of action. If it's isolated to one extremity, you are most likely looking at complex regional pain syndrome or other type of nervous system pain syndrome.

3. Sounds like a Complex Regional Pain Syndrome

You should see a pain specialist

4. while the theory is that any severe injury/illness can cause fms....

fms is WIDESPREAD--not localized to one limb--while it may initially be noticed in one area--there should be more symptoms after a while.

my guess would be localized nerve damage
