1. My GP said i am allowed to take co-codamol or paracetamol for my back pain and i am 15 weeks pregnant. Would be useful if i wasnt allergic to it!!! But have been referred to physio and that is helping a lot. I don't know why you haven't already been referred, unsure why they are waiting until 26 weeks, like i said i am only 15 weeks and am seeing someone. Speak to your GP instead of your midwife.
2. TENSE MACHINE, YOU CAN BUY THEM FROM STORES LIKE BOOTS, (E.T.C
3. The reason that lower back pain is one of the pregnant joys we suffer is because the added weight on the front of us is causing our spine to curve in that direction. The increase sway really puts a strain on the muscles in the lower back. A decompression therapy is completely safe and truly a blessing at a chiropractic office and doesn't require any radiation of x-rays to see what is going on. It also doesn't matter what stage of pregnancy you are in because it is so docile. It increases the disk spacing of the vertebrae that are pinching the nerves in that area of your spine causing it to misfire the pain reflexes. Also, if chiro's scare you, massage is probably the best way to go. They can lay you on your side to get to the lower back muscles and strip them out for you. Going to a licensed massage therapist who is trained in working pre-natal and post-natal is a really good idea and way worth it! no more than a half hour with them though. ;) that's too much toxins in the blood for the baby anyway ;) Good Luck!
