What can I do for a headache during pregnancy?

I am 12 weeks, 4 days and I have the most horrendous headache that has lasted for 3 days almost consistently. It has been making me dizzy, sick, and when I stand up, I almost completely black out. I just want to take something, but what can I take? I am in another country, so other than tylenol, there isn't much of anything else I can take. Some home remedies? Do you think this can be motion sickness? If so, would some sort of medicine for that be okay? On the label, there isn't anything that says, "if pregnant, consult a physician." So what should I do?

Thanks. Best answer 10 pts.

1. Paracetamol, a warm bath with nice smelling bubbles and a hot drink helped me.

2. If it's a regular headache, Tylenol and a Coke. If it's a sinus headache, Tylenol and Sudafed (yes, Sudafed is safe for pregnancy).

3. Try massaging your feet or get your partner to. There are pressure points on your feet for almost everything. Also rubbing your temples, or the area between your thumb and pointer finger. Pressure points I know help me when I have headaches. Make sure you wear sunglasses outside because the sun will definitely trigger the headaches. Sometimes, I know I do this, but if your teeth ache as well, brush your teeth and the headache will be gone. Hope this helps. And best of luck!

4. The safest thing to take during pregnancy is tylenol (acetaminophen). As long as you take the recommended dosage and no more you and your baby will be fine. Any other pain medicine (other than what a doctor prescribes you) is really not safe to take during pregnancy mostly due to the risks of bleeding. If you have motion sickness you should talk with your doctor about either reglan or zofran. You can also try some ginger. Try sitting in a dark room with a cold cloth over your head.

5. You could always ask your doctor about it. Sometimes they prescribe things for ya. I also read headaches are more commom during pregnancy.

6. this my sound dumb but the only thing that helped me then was to turn a fan on and lay on the floor not on a couch or bed or any thing else but the cold hard floor i hope it may help you to i know how bad they can be
