children's tylenol for headache during pregnancy?
I know this is a really crazy question, but I'm 18 weeks pregnant and ran out of tylenol (extra strength) and it's late here and my kids are in bed. (My husband is also deployed) I have a mild headache that is driving me nuts and I was wondering if it's ok to take children's tylenol. I just need something to make it go away before it turns into a full-blown migraine. Thanks guys.

1. You should be fine, children's tylenol is still tylenol just not as strong. I hope you feel better.
2. Since children's tylenol dosing is based on weight, I think you would have to take the whole bottle and then some. BUT call a pharmacist and ask them your question. That is what they are there for. Wal-Green's is open 24 hours in most places.
3. call a friend, tell them your dilemma and hopefully they will go to the store for you, or just go next door or call the neighbors and see if they have any at their house.
4. if u can take extra strength Tylenol u can for sure take children Tylenol. Kid Tylenol just have less medicine in it so little kid doesn't overdose. By the way tylenol is giving out free medicine with this coupon http://www.tylenol.com/page.jhtml?id=tylenol/news/subpcccoldmed.inc
5. You should not be taking Extra Strenght Tylenol while pregnant. I believe that the strongest amount you are to take is 500mg (2 reg Tylenol), but I'm not positive. I would speak to a doctor before taking anything, just to be safe.
6. You took extra strength Tylenol till you ran out and you are worried about children's Tylenol Hello!
7. You should be fine.
8. Of course you can use Children's Tylenol now the real question is the dosage that is safe and yet have an effect on you. On the Tylenol site they will have the dosage for children's Tylenol for weight up to 95lb. Hope you feel better. Have you tried some caffeine? It always helps me at the begging of my migraines (a coke, a cup of coffee)
9. try a cup of coffee.
10. Yep you can take it. I had to do the same while I was pregnant. I had a headache everyday for about the first 5 months. I was even in the hospital a few times because it got so bad!!! One thing that is good though. You are almost 5 months and my doctor told me that usually the headaches go away around that time because your hormones regulate around that time. Mine did. You also need to drink alot of water. Most headaches are caused because of dehydration. Pregnant women need about 12 glasses of water a day. Something else that you could try if you have it is drink 2 glasses of gatoraide. It will help bring your electrolite level back up and could take the headache away...
