How to cure a pregnancy headache?

2 hours after I wake up I get a headache. My headaches are accompanied by dizziness and weakness. I work in my family store and I hate asking them every morning if I can rest up and sleep for an hour in the back of the warehouse. I drink Tylenol and it does not work.
That might be, but I drink plenty of water I care a water bottle everywhere. But I might not be drinking enough....
Due Date Aug 5th -- Im 27wks
Oh no, I dont take Tylenol or a regular basis, im scared of it even if its safe. --- Only when I really need it

1. try a cup of coffee, thats usually what causes my headaches....lack of caffiene.

2. Your headaches/dizziness and weakness are probably due to dehydration. Drink LOTS of water. Women don't consume enough water as in, never mind when they're pregnant. Try this before you try anymore medicine.

3. Hey. Im sorry to hear that. Im really not sure what else you can take during pregnancy for pain, besides tylenol, thats the only safe pain reliever that Im aware of. I would recommend talking to your doctor and see what they say. Maybe they can prescribe you something that will help. When are you due? Once the babies born Im sure all these headaches will go away. good luck to you. Feel better!

4. Try getting up a lil bit earlier so you can take your time. Don't just jump out of bed and get ready for work. Try Tylenol Extra Strength pill form, and drink plenty of fluids, water or Gatorade. If the warehouse is not ventilated properly you could easily be dehydrating. Keep snacks with you like crackers.

5. Some headaches unfortunately you just have to deal with. Taking Tylenol is considered safe, but truthfully any drug you take puts you in a higher risk group so be careful you are not depending on it.

Make sure you drink a lot of water. I found myself dehydrating easily while pregnant and that was quite often the case. If you do drink coffee normally, follow it with a big glass of water. Coffee will dehydrate you more. Yes, drinking more means peeing more and we do enough of that already but think about the body flush you get!!!

So, I am suggesting eating something small and drinking a great big glass of water or two first thing in the morning. This might just do the trick. If you have trouble drinking just water, have juice or something that is not a diuretic.
Good Luck, hope you feel better.

6. I'm the same way. (28 weeks)
& nothing seems to get rid of my headaches
& Your not suppose to drink coffee during pregnancy.. (so I wouldnt advise of that)
Ask your doctor if there is anything he can perscribe you

7. I'm so sorry, I get them too well even when I'm not pregnant. Tylenol can only do so much though and we can't take too much. The best thing I've found is to massage the back of your head and neck. Even though its most likely hormone related you can have many types of headaches at the same time. IF you were used to having your coffee and have cut out most caffeine for your lil one it could be partly caffeine withdrawl.
Also dehydration which seems impossible with the amount of water we drink. For me though waking up and guzzling water right away getting about half of it down at least by noon (32 oz.) really helps.

I know all about headaches being no fun. I don't even bother with the Tylenol though since it rarely helps. Oh depending on how often you take the Tylenol you can have whats called a rebound headache. This is when the drug of choice gets built up in your system which is VERY common.

See about that water and massage but also get the right amount of sleep. Sleep patters also cause head pain. Like I said you can have many types of headaches at the same time. For me it's usually tension and dehydration. Sometimes though I have a reaction to preservatives in foods and that can really set them off. I have to stay away from processed foods for the most part. You can see about getting tested for any allergies. I also have some headaches upon waking when it seems to be going straight up my nose! I don't know if you get those at all but when I do I use a saline solution spray and that helps a lot!

I'll be praying they get better so you can enjoy the rest of your pregnancy. Headaches suck!

Best of luck and blessings :)

8. It may be anemia. Make sure you are getting plenty of iron, it's very common during pregnancy and will cause migraines. I'm having the same problems and i've been upping my iron intake. It can also be related to diet. I stopped drinking milk when I read that it can be a cause and they've almost completely stopped. I was drinking coffee also because I read it could be a factor but honestly it was a temporary fix that seemed to make them worse in the long run.

I called my doctor when they were at the peak and pretty much said I needed something because tylenol wasn't doing it and he did write a prescription for something that made them go away. With everything else I've been doing to prevent them I've only needed to take a few, I'm trying to take as little as possible as any medicine while I'm pregnant makes me nervous. I went all day yesterday without a headache at all, and today I woke up with just a slight one(i suspect it was the ice cream I ate last night). So try what worked for me!
