Sudden knee pain?

This may be a dumb question, but can a mosquito or spider bite on the knee cause pain? For the past two days, I've had trouble walking (on my right knee). When I try to fully bend my leg, there's a soreness right above the knee cap. I don't remember physically hurting my knee, so I'm not sure where it's comming from. I did notice a mosquito bite right on top of my knee though. It also looks somewhat swollen too. Can anyone tell me what's going on?

1. yes

2. it could be possible that ur knee is swollen from the bug bite... and the swelling could possibly cause discomfort as well. you could be having just an allergic reaction.... if it does get worse... call the dr.

3. yes in fact any bit can cause knee pain

it seems that youve probably got sum swelling above your knee cap which draws blood to that area, which in turn would cause u knee pain because of the pressure in the area, my advice is to try putting ice on the affected area to lower the swelling

k hope this helps and goodluck

4. it sounds like type of infection that my friend got. get to the doctor now. if left unattended it will nearly double in size.

5. Diagnosis is essentil. i had sudden knee pain inflamm 16jul.
Diag septic knee. heavy anti biotics and almost cured by 26th.

6. Do you live in an area where deer ticks are prevalent? Lyme disease is notorious for settling in joints, generally unilaterally. Although characteristally, tick bites don't swell, I wouldn't rule it out depending on where you live.

7. they probably aren't related but you might get it checked out... for the knee pain... it may not necessarily be your knee... i could be your hip or your ankle or even your back... the pain is in your knee... but the problem may be anywhere... if it continues see a chiropractor.

you can put your back, hip, knee... any of your supportive joints out of whack with something as small as turning to get out of your car or stepping of the curb.

here's a fun fact... there are at least a dozen places on your body that when applied correctly... pressure equalling the weight of a quarter can paralyze your entire body.

8. Sounds like you have a little Fluid thing going on. Go to the doctor!
