I have physical leg pain that needs diagnosis.?

I received a knee to my leg while playing lacrosse. I was diagnosed with a quad contusion. I have no bruising but it pains me to bend my leg. After sleeping/sitting for an extended period of time or running I have a sharp shooting pain down my leg that does not go away quickly. Can anyone help me?

1. The muscle itself must not have fully released from that knee you received. The muscle just cramped up but has not been able to fully release. Here is how you can help your leg release that pain:
While sitting place both hands around your leg a few inched behind your knee. Squeeze hard and hold. Now relax. After 45 seconds slowly slide your foot forward until your leg is fully extended. Wait 10 seconds and slowly pull it back in. Now slightly release the pressure so you can slide your hands back to mid thigh and tighten them up again. Hold for 30 seconds and then slowly slide your foot forward to make the full extension once more. Then remove the pressure from your leg and let it rest like that for another 30 seconds. That leg is now done and the pain should be gone.
