I am disabled-56 yrs old with diabetes and chronic back and knee pain, plus clinically depressed?
I need assistance paying for my prescribed meds. I live in Sarasota, FL and don't know where I can get help with my medications and psych help. Are there any state, local agencies that provide help?

3. Sounds familiar. I was on disability when I was 55 years old,. I was depressed and suicidal, diabetic, alcoholic, chronic pain from fibromyalgia, and running out of money. A friend helped me by giving me a book that changed my life forever. I'm now self sufficient, controlling my diabetes, medication free, mostly pain free, and thriving at 58. If you are interested in dragging yourself out of that rut and getting healthy again, I've posted pretty much everything I did in order to get my life back again in blogs linked in my profile. I can tell you from experience... helping yourself is far better than letting the government do it.
