1. Sleep pills,Asprin

2. you should drink some hot tea or coffee and eat something mine goes away from that.

3. there isn't much you can do to get a quick pain relief without meds. Try using a Cryopak, or just an icepak or a hot water bottle.

4. Drink lots of water and massage you temples. Keep your eyes closed and hum softly while you do it. It gives you a sence of peace and massageing your temples relaxes you so that you are not tense and this helps headaches go away. This is what I do because i hate swallowing pills. Hope i could help ya!

5. Try an ice pack on your head and/or the back of your neck. Sometimes a hot bath or shower can help too. Also hot herbal tea with no caffeine since you want to sleep. Hope you sleep well.

6. Try putting an ice pack or cold wash cloth on your head. Have you eaten anything today or had enough caffene? If I don't eat or consume caffene I get horrible headaches! If that doesn't work, just lie still in the dark and try to go to sleep, you may have a miagraine. The computer screen isn't going to make it any better either, so you may want to turn it off for the night
Feel better soon:O)

7. have a warm tea. take panadol or aspirin, try get some sleep. take care!

8. I suffer from migraines, when I'm out of my prescription medicine, I drink something with caffeine in it, then go into a dark, quiet room and place a very ice cold rag on my forehead. Usually this helps a lot.. also, rubbing a bit of Icy Hot on my temples helps to draw out the pain.

9. I use a mixture of lavender and peppermint oil and rub it in my temples and forehead sparingly and then use an ice pack on the back of my neck or on top of my forehead depending on where the headache is coming from... I will also be sure that the room is at a comfortable temperature (as cool as I can tolerate it) so I will be able to breathe well and not be hot and wake up from being uncomfortable. If you don't have peppermint oil, you can use something like Vick's vapor rub or something with camphor in it. Also I take a bath using lavendar aromatherapy oil before I go to sleep.

Here is some info on the benefits of lavender. Lavender can be used for headaches, migraines and sore muscle relief. Lavender eases joint stiffness and helps us cope with chronic pain. Interestingly enough, lavender has antiseptic qualities and even repels insects naturally.

Simply apply a few drops of essential lavender oil to your temples when you start to feel tension around your head, neck or shoulders. Migraine suffers may experience an aura that signals a migraine. Essential oil of lavender may not prevent the actual onset of the migraine but it can help you relax your muscles and emotional tension that could trigger the migraine pain.

A lavender eye pillow is recommended for the relaxing, soothing aromatherapy qualities of the lavender. Lavender promotes relaxation and more restorative sleep. Studies in hospitals and nursing homes found that patients exposed to the scent of lavender fell asleep faster, deeper and longer.

If you want to buy a spray already made to help with headaches that is all natural, I recommend a product by Herbal Works called MigraWorks. I bought it at Costco but I know not all of them carry it. Go to www.herbalworksinc.com
It isn't cheap but it does help me to sleep so much better and I use it on my joints when they ache too. However, using lavender and peppermint is also a real winner!

TIP: Peppermint tea may be used to relieve migraine headaches. To prepare the tea, pour one cup of boiling water over 1-2 tsp of dried peppermint leaves, cover, and steep for 10 minutes. Strain the mixture before drinking. For relief of migraine pressure, drink 1-2 cups of cool tea daily. Also be sure to sleep in as dark a room as possible.

I sure hope this helps... it does me and I wish you the best. I know how painful it can be and not be able to sleep due to the pain!

10. There is no medicine for H/A OR MIGRAINE. Not only these but for almost all painful diseases. Hence they become chronic.
Acidity, excessive wind, cold , heat, sour food and sinusitis, constipation, intestinal inflammation;
Blockage in the flow of Vital Energy are their causes. None of them can be treated with medicine. Our 100% success in treating migraine &H/A confirms it.
Acupuncture is the best treatment. I can treat it with naturopathy and YOG, but how can you manage pl see.
Avoid late sleeping if possible;spicy, sour, stale bakery foods and alcohole.
Sweet foods, sweet fruits, milk, rice and good sleep will help you.
But you try one herbal remedy- two drops of drumstick leaves' juice in opposite nostril if one side pains and both nostrils if full H/A will give you rescue. Betel leaf helps but it isvery strong.
If it is acute pl search a painful point 3-6 mm behind your thumb nail and press it, H/A will disappear within 30 seconds.
