What could my knee pain be and what can be done for it?
I am in my 40's and my knee hurts and the doctor told me its not arthirtus. I'm taking a vitamin for the joints. When I am on these vitamins I don't feel the pain, when i quit taking them for a few days, I'm fine, then the pain comes back again. What could this knee pain be and what should be done for it?

1. I am not a Dr, and recommend you continue to
work with professionals. It may not be
arthritis yet, but it could develop into
arthritis.
It sounds like a minor loss of synovial fluid,
although may not have progressed to bursitis yet.
Continue to take your vitamins. Talk a daily
multivitamin, preferably formulated for your age
gender, and activity level. Additionally, CMZ,
(Calcium, Magnesium and Zinc) may help. I
prefer Calcium Citrate over Calcium Carbonate,
as it is better absorbed by the body. Vitamin D3
will help you process minerals better, but you
do not add to the other sources, and sunlight
is the best source of D3.
Sometimes, Ibuprofen can cause rebound pain,
if one takes too many, or for too long.
Drink plenty of water, eat a well balanced diet
including leafy greens, and get plenty of good
quality sleep. Limit or eliminate caffeine, alcohol,
and do not smoke. Also try to get some moderate
exercise every day. Walking 30 minutes for
exercise is great, and water exercise is even better.

This may help. Rest flat on your back, with
knees and feet elevated above the heart. Pillows
or cushions can elevate the lower legs well,
but make certain your feet are also supported..
Try this for 30 or more minutes per day, and
it would be better if you could sleep with your
knees and feet slightly elevated.
If the pain gets worse, notify your doctor.
Good Luck
