I was told I have mild arthritis in my right knee. I need to know what causes the pain. I don't agree.?
I don't agree with the diagnosis. The pain comes out of nowhere and will last five to twenty minutes. It doesn't matter if my leg is bent or straight. Standing or sitting. It feels better when I am standing up. I would like to know if anyone has arthritis and does this sound right.

1. You should use Tramadol, it is the best about it you can get information from here http://nurse24.notlong.com/8AAQ4gh
2. i had random knee pain in my left knee starting in 7/08. it gradually got worse, and happened more often. i left work in 10/01/08 for a hernia surgery. while recovering from that, my knee was diagnosed with possible arthritis. steroids helped for three days, but the pain came back. by 10/31, i was on crutches. long story short, i had keyhole surgery for a torn meniscus, as an MRI showed severe arthritis, and non repairable meniscus damage. as of 6/15/09, i have a new left knee. see an orthopedic doc. diclofenac will help with arthritis pain very well. the best thing i did for my knee pain was to get a consult with an orthopedic doc.
3. Arthritis is a bit strange like that actually. It can be diagnosised with a routine xray as changes in the joint will show up. Many people with arthritis become very good weather predictors as their effected joints will act up when a storm approaches. Joints will be stiff in the morning when you get up and once you start moving you can 'work' the stiffness out. Yes some positions are better than others, but everyone is different. Anti-inflammatory meds and exercise is supposed to be the best thing to keep the discomfort to a minimum.
