Home remedies for a headache and sore throat besides medication?

Public Comments

1. An ice pack or a cold rag on your head while lying in a quiet place for your headache and gargle with salt water for your throat.

2. Sore throat-gargle with hot salt water, repeat this several times.

Head ache-make sure you are very hydrated.

3. If you have honey and a lemon, this should work for sore throat.

For the sore throat, you can squeeze a lemon OR use lemon juice and get 2 tbs of if in a cup and add 2 tbs of honey (or 1 if needed). Microwave it for 10 seconds at a time and check after every time to see if it is hot and honey is dissolved. Although if you think that 20 more seconds will do it go ahead.

If you do not have a microwave (I didn't for a long time so I make sure other people can work around it...lol) then put it on the stove to a simmer and then remove, let it cool until it is cool enough to drink, and then drink it. It should taste pretty good, I love it.

We are sore throat buddies (lol)! I have a sore throat right now and am curing it using this.

4. you've got a headache and sore throat... me too, what a coincidence. i just toughen it out. so far it's working :D
