How to reduce headache?pls say some home remedies too?

Due 2headache my eyes will be paining sometimes.wat shall i do
My frend said due to straining of eyes and not taking proper rest u r having headache and eye pain

8. Avoid looking at computer and/or television screens. Avoid anything that will cause you to tense up. Oppressive heat should be avoided too. Once you have a headache it's hard to reduce it without some form of medication, but I find keeping myself hydrated and consuming a "small" amount of caffeine really does the trick.

9. see an eye dr. eyestrain could cause bad headaches. that is the best thing to do. as far as home remedies, you can get yourself over the counter glasses and in walmarts or drug stores they have them with an eye chart.try 1 percent magnification and follow the rules on the eye chart to see where you can see best.really, you need an eye check up and the school nurse can do it for free

11. If you do a lot of reading, eye strain could definitely be a problem. Coffee is something that reduces headaches, and so is the scent of mint. You can have a cup of coffee or tea -- it's the caffeine that actually cures the headache. You can also make yourself a bag of mint leaves to smell, or put some mint oil in a pot of boiling water and fill the house with it. The scent of mint must be strong enough, though. Just smelling mint coffee won't really do it. You could also get a handkerchief and soak it it pure mint oil and keep it with you. That's what I can come up with on the fly.

If the problem is your eyes, have you had your eyes checked? Headaches is a sign of needing glasses, so that is one thing I would definitely check.

12. If you press your little finger quite hard to the space in between your eye and eye brow for ten seconds, natural pain relievers will focus around that.

Other than that drink lots of water and lie down with your eyes closed.

You might want to visit an opticians, and have your eyes tested.

13. I go into a room, close the curtains or whatever you have for making the room as dark as possible. With no distractions, close your eyes and lie down in a comfortable position. As you feel the pain, focus on it. Describe the pain by location in your head and give it a color you think it represents. As the pain changes (which it will) describe it in a new color. As you do this for a few minutes, the pain will start to dissipate to one bearable or even go away. It works for me unless it's a migraine then it hurts no matter what.
Another way is to massage your temples gently and work around your jawline to behind your ears. If it's in the back of your head, rub your neck and use the technique with the colors as I said before.
If all else fails, see a doctor.
If the pain is behind your eyes, then you really should see an optometrist. ???

14. Your friend could be right; it could be the lighting in the room,your choice of food- sinus ,allergies.
Try this- make a list of everything around you in your room, house etc. when you get these headaches. List what food you eat and if you are using light bulbs, florescent lights, day light etc. You can also list weather. If you see a pattern develop with happens when you get the headaches, stop or change one or more of the common things and see what happens. That's the home stuff- have an eye check and ask your doctor about sinus migraines? ear infection. After that , sit back and enjoy knowing you an resolve your own problems.

1. If your eye sight is bad, you might need contacts or glasses. Straining to read and look at things far away will give you eye pains and headaches. You need to go to an optometrist or ophthalmologist for an eye test.
2. If there is a history of glaucoma in your family, you should go gets your eyes checked (this is dangerous and can cause sudden blindness, eye pain and bad headaches.
3. You may also be suffering from MIGRAINES, ask your parents if they have migraines. If so, thats probablly what you're getting, either way, to be diagnoses with migraines, first you need an eye test to make sure your vision isn't bad.
-- there are certain things that trigger migraines, make a headache journal and write down everything you did ate that day before the headache startes and how much sleep you got the night before and if you drank alcohol. SLeep deprivation and alcohol are the biggest culprits in causing migraines.

17. It depends what causes your headache. Some headaches can be cured quickly by closing your eyes and relaxing with a warm, wet towel over your eyes and breathing deeply. You can imagine your aches and pains fading and move your hands over your head massaging or even not touching your scalp to help get you relaxed.

Often headaches are cuased by dehydration. In this case, drink some cold but not freezing water or gatorade....mabye 16 to 24 oz. It should go away with 30 minutes maybe 15 minutes.

Otherwise, massages can help, even on the neck and back. Obviously, medicine (aspirin, ibuprofen, caffeine, etc.) can work great, but you were asking for home remedies. Some people like smelling eucalyptus or other powerful essential oils like those produced from brewing coffee. Or you could try a nap, though you'd easily realize that's the problem if you aren't getting much sleep.

Personally, I find a little excercise and a breath of fresh air work wonders, but it can be heard to make yourself go for a job when you have a bad headache.

19. Most headaches are because of tight muscles in your neck, shoulders and head. The one that you are talking about has to be in your neck because that is the one that is close to your optic nerves in the back of your head.
to release those muscles and the headache.
Put your hands behind your head and place your fingers on the neck muscles and press in with a moderate pressure and hold.
Now relax, take a deep breath and exhale and don't tense up any part of your body, including your arms, let your hands do the work.
After 30 seconds. slowly lower your head until your neck is fully extended.
Release the pressure but hold your head there for one minute.
