Im wondering if I have symptoms of Fibromyalgia.....?
I have looked it up already, but there are so many different symptoms that COULD be caused from the condition. What symptoms are most prominent and how serious is it? Any information that could be shared would be helpful.

1. Being diagnosed with Fibro can take years. It took me two years to get diagnosed and that was considered quick. You have to rule out everything else. Prominent symptoms can vary from person to person. Most include muscle weakness, extreme tiredness, sensitivity to touch, inability to concentrate, all over constant pain and many more things.
2. everyone and tehir brotehr thinks they have fibro now that it is on tv-
itis highly ver diagnosed by incompetant docs who use the term as a genral label for pain
teh primary symptoms are widespread pain ---lasting for months--NOT ATTRIBUTED TO ANOTHER CONDITION
other common symptoms are fatigue, stiffness, numbness, cogntive difficulties
REAL FIBROMAYLGIA is a neuro disorder--tehr is no inflammtion
teh symtpoms of fibro are simialr to amny other conditions--for which tests exist-
viatmin deficiencey, hormone probelm, lymes, ms, lupus...
3. What symptoms do you have? There are other conditions that can cause the same symptoms as fibromyalgia. Do you have any other health problems? What health problems run in your family?
4. A diagnosis of fibromyalgia requires that you undergo several tests to rule out other conditions. The main symptom is widespread pain in the body lasting for six months or more. Fibromyalgia isn't a stand alone illness. There can be a lot of different problems that go along with it and everyone is different. There are 18 "points" on the body that when pressed will usually cause extreme pain. They don't nessesarily all hurt at the same time but many will be painful to pressure. The more places that are painful, the more likely you are to have fibromyalgia, although you can still have fibromyalgia and not have them be painful. And yes it is hard to diagnose correctly. While fibromyalgia isn't life-threatening, it can be debilitating. In severe cases people are unable to work and may need to go on SS Disability. If you suspect that you have fibromyalgia ask your doctor to refer you to a Reumatologist that treats fibromyalgia patients. Recently I have been taking a drug called Low Dose Naltrexone and it has helped me tremendously. I highly recommend it if you are diagnosed with fibromyalgia.
