Imigran Injection ( Cluster Headache )?
Hi
I suffer from cluster headaches and yesterday my doctor prescribed me with Imigran ( sumatriptan succinate )
I have taken this yesterday and the side effects were not nice, my head was tingling and my head was really heavy i was struggling to hold it up, i was also having hot flushes and and my throat felt like it was burning..... My question is has anyone ever taken this injection and do the side effects get better when your body gets used to the medication?
Any other experiences anyone has had with this would be grateful
Thanks in advance

1. Hi,
These are common side effects. You might be interested to read the conversation about side effects (and to explore the forum for cluster headache sufferers) here:

One common trick to limit the side effects is to take less than a full injection of imigran/imitrex (same drug, different name depending on which country you're in). The method is outlined here:

Good luck, and may you get this thing under control!
