Chronic knee pain in a 14 year old?

every once in a while
i get sharp pains in my knees
like under my kneecaps
and i can keep my leg straight
i have injured my legs before
not seriously
but this is chronic and i dont know what it could be

Public Comments

1. i think it is related to the previous knee injury and therefore u shud do an x-ray to see whts goin on..see a dr. asap/
hope its nothin serious

2. Any joint pain in a young person should be promptly and medically investigated as it is not normal....and may be in fact a symptom of many diseases I therefore urge you to see your doctor immediately

3. it could be from your prior injury. but see a doctor to make sure it isnt anything more serious.

4. It's not chronic if it only happens once in a while. Chronic means it is a pain that stays for unlogical reasons (not quite described by medicine) for a longer period of the normal healing range. It sounds like you just still have an issue with your legs. You need to go to the doctor.
