Is it possible to have a sinus headache without any congestion?

I keep getting what I think are sinus headaches. There's pressure in my forehead and to the side of my nose. I can feel the weight there when I bend over. OTC sinus medicine works wonders on it. Funny thing is I can breathe just fine. Is this possible?

1. Yes, it sounds like sinus / sinusitis issues. They can be miserable. For speedy relief use a sinus irrigation process. They are available at pharmacies. I know of one called NeilMed Sinus Rinse. There are other manufacturers. It comes with saline packets, and a plastic pot. They work wonders. Follow directions for best results. Good luck

2. Yes, all u need to get is a decongestant (Zyrtec has a new one try that)

3. You have several sinus cavities. The congestion is caused primarily by clogging or swelling of the forward sinuses (the ones above your nose and between your eyes). If you have an infection or mucus buildup in the other sinuses, you may be able to breathe fine. Since this is a recurring issue, you need to see a doctor immediately. You may have something as simple as a blockage or an infection, but because you are experiencing continued pressure and pain without the congestion, you may have something more serious. You may have a vascular issue which is causing too much pressure, (and this is unlikely) you may have a tumor in the sinus cavities which is exerting pressure. Go see a doctor, at the very least, he can prescribe something stronger to clear your sinuses once and for all.
