What causes a severe headache, nausea, vomiting?

My left side of my head feels like my brain is "too big" for my head and I have a severe headache, along with nausea, vomiting, and a stuffy right ear. It feels like the flu but this is a long going issue. I cannot sleep or take naps because of the nausea and vomiting but later in the day or night, I feel lightheaded and tired but cannot fall asleep. Any ideas, suggestions, or similar issues would be great!

1. - viral infection (flu?)
- bacterial infection
- sinusitis
- dehydration

Drink ginger tea if you can get it, and also lots of water with lemon. If it's not better by tomorrow night, get to a doctor on Friday (an urgent care center if you don't have a regular dr.).

2. This sounds exactly like a description of sinusitis that I just read (I've been suffering from headache, nausea, and vomiting myself intermittently for the last week, and have been spending a while researching online this morning). I believe the treatment was antibiotics - definitely a doctor visit is in order. I hope you feel better! I know well how miserable you are right now. I included a link below - includes a lot of other possible causes - sinusitis at bottom of page.
