What causes a headache when sitting or standing?

I have had an extremely severe headache for 10 days. It comes when i sit or stand, but goes away when I lay flat. No pain meds work, and no food tastes good. I am not sick, and the CT scan of my head was ok. I can't work, and I can't have fun! I am miserable.. All I can do is lay in bed. Please help!

1. Has anyone checked your blood pressure? That's all I can think of at the moment

2. sounds like vertabrae problem ,body doesn't have to hold ur head up when u lay flat ...recommend good chriopractor to get pressure release, one trip should do the job

3. Standing and moving about because your brain will be doing more work so it will strain and your headache will be worse

4. Have a dental check up and have your eyes tested. That would rule those two out at least.
