Anyone used chiropractic for chronic knee pain? Did it help? I also have bilateral faciatis.?

I had meniscus surgery 2 years ago on right knee; still have pain in that area. Went thru PT several times, etc. Have many different kinds of shoe inserts, PowerStep helps but I can only wear certain shoes. Ice helps best, heat feels good but doesn't help. The PF in my left foot makes my right knee pain worse. I've had chronic PF for at least 10 years and am worn out. I used to run/speed walk and stairs are even an effort for me now. I'd like to try something different than an Ortho. I take Ibuprofen 3x daily. So I wondered if chiropractic might give me some relief. My ortho wanted me to go thru the Pain Clinic...

1. I have tried just about everything for my chronic knee pain. The one thing that helped was therapeutic deep tissue massage. Chiropractics helped my back and hips but not the knees which were causing the back troubles. The other thing that helped me was what they called "E-stim" or electrical stimulation where and electric current was sent through the skin via electrodes (stuck to the skin not embedded). Ice could be applied in addition to the e-stim. I always felt the best after a therapeutic massage and e-stim with ice. This was done through my physical therapist.

If your doc suggests going thru a pain clinic, go. They may have other options to help that you haven't tried.

2. I have never had chronic knee pain, but I do work in a chiropractor's office. I know of many people that have been successfully treated for knee pain. To be honest, the way you handle the adjustments totally depend on your body. Each person is different. I am a supporter of chiropractic care because it has helped me very much. I had sever back and wrist pain and going to a chiropractor has tremendously helped!
