Are there exercises you can do to relieve back pain?

Like stretches or something you can do without machinery. My back aches and hurts at times throughout the day and it seems like stretches would feel good on it. Thanks in advance(:

1. pull your knees up to your chin and hold for a few seconds, this will stretch out your spine and help to relieve pressure

if its muscle pain do the same and go side to side as well, hot bath or heating pad will help too,

personally I have found the exercise of snorting 240mg of Oxycontin to do the trick

2. My doctor told me if I keep my abdominals toned then that will help take pressure off the back, so maybe you could try that and see if it helps.
