What is the cause of lower right back and side pain?
I have been having sharp pain in my lower right back and abdomen for about two days now. It hurts with movement and especially when I sit down or stand up. I'm also feeling light headed and dizzy at times. I'm just wondering what could be the cause and if I should or shouldn't go to a doctor.
Public Comments
1. Kidney infection or appendicitis. Go to the Dr. right away.
2. It would be best to go to a doctor b/c your appendix is in that area. It could be nothing but its better safe than sorry.
3. diabetes causes kidney problems and dizziness. avoid sugar.
4. Do you have a fever? I would suggest having your doctor paged and asking them if you need to go to the ER. If the pain is severe go to the hospital.
If you are about two weeks from your period it could also be ovulation pain and if it burns during urination it might be a bladder infection. I've had plenty of those.
Either way, you need to see a doctor.
Good luck!!

When to see a doctor
Make an appointment with a doctor if you or your child experiences signs or symptoms that worry you. Abdominal pain so severe that a person is unable to sit still or find a comfortable position requires immediate medical attention.
