For all those with Fibromyalgia...?

Have you tried Savella (milnacipran) for fibromyalgia-its a new medication, it just came out in 2009. Anybody tried it? What was your experience with it? Also, if you have tried Lyrica or Cymbalta, I'd like your opinions on those as wel...
Thank you for your answers!

1. I've been on Cymbalta for about 3 months. I was on 30 mg for a two weeks and have been on 60 mg ever since. The only notable side effect I've experienced was extreme sleepiness when I first started it and again for a short time when the dose was increased.

Cymbalta has decreased my pain symptoms, but has not decreased fatigue as much as I would like. However, I do have sleep apnea, which may account for some of the fatigue.

2. i don't have fibromyalgia but i have CRPS and have tried lyrica. i began taking it in 2008 (probably around August but i know i was definitely taking it in September). it seemed to help a little with the pain (although now that much, i would say b4 my pain was at 9-10 most days and lyrica brought it down to an 8, but that was also with a nerve block)

anyway, i was taken off of it at the end of sep. bc it wasn't doing much for me and i ended up having an allergy to it (well, at least my docs thought was [part of] the problem).

but, i have heard a lot of people have had success (and no problems) with lyrica, so maybe it is something worth trying (or mentioning to your doctor).

hope this helps! :]
