How do you relieve lower back pain?

I have been having extreme lower back pain lately.
I use a futon and a lower-back support chair.
I don't have insurance, so a doctor or chiropracter is out of the question.

1. Get one of those exercise balls. They really help to stretch the back. I've been going to a chiropractor myself and he recommended me to do so.

2. try an ointment...it gives u relief....esp witha hot water bag..

3. the therma care heat wraps are great! it healped so much that i am going to write the maker, i could not have gone to my sons 8th grade graduation, and you can buy the trial box at dollar genaral for 2.00. good luck and GOD BLESS, I REALLY KNOW HOW YOU FEEL! if you take pain med. take a tylenol with it to boost your pain med. that helps also.

4. I've had alot of back pain for years as I used to carry heavy carpets around that compressed my poor old back! I found out if I took some analgesics right before I hopped into the shower and then directed as ' hot as I could stand" water at the sore part of my back it helped to relieve the pain, try it.
