How can I get back into running and over my knee pain?
A couple of months ago I hurt my knee and after I recovered I was back to normal running, sprinting and cycling. Recently, however, I got sick for a couple of weeks and stopped exercising. Now, my knee hurts more than it ever did when I've tried to start running again. Even walking rapidly is a pain. What should I do to get back in shape and running?

1. The knee is a very poorly designed joint and is very easy to damage. You need to see a Dr and find out exactly what is wrong and it would be best if you can see a physical therapist for treatment.
2. I agree with Susan. You should see a doctor to see what kind of exercises they recommend you participate in or not. You don't want to injure your knee further.

3. I would recommend that you see your doctor. You don't want to push a minor injury into something worse.
It should not be causing you that much pain, and it sounds to me like something might be up.
Knee braces can really help provide meaningful support.
